Just lately, it’s been “all change” here at my studio. My late (and great) father-in-law’s Bechstein has arrived at its new home! He was an eminent FRS physicist and I have happy memories spanning several decades – drinking, joking and then retiring to the music room to play duets on this very piano. (Come to think of it, actually we were probably mainly drinking. And joking. Usually about just how little I know about physics…)
The Bechstein is now finally installed and properly set up in its new home. And thanks to sage advice from @keithrobinson.illustrator, I have now managed to wrestle with the beast to ensure it’s the right way up 😉
Following a massive operation, it is now up to concert pitch – Stuart, you are a magician! Huge thanks @stuart_jones_pianos
As you see, I’m making full use of all the available technology this morning. A pencil? Manuscript paper? What more could a composer need?! I feel certain that my father-in-law would have appreciated the irony…
